My most heartfelt thanks for your extreme kindness in arranging for a replacement set of my Defence Force Service Medals which were stolen in a house robbery.  Words can't express how I felt to have this set presented to me by President T Rat with members of your group present.  Skull - I look forward to meeting you some where down the line, you did an amazing job in creating my replica medals and the presentation box is memorable.  This set of medals will mean more to me than those to be replaced by the Department of Defence, I will wear them with pride and think of you all on those occasions.

Kindest Regards
Penny Wigg

Just wanted to say thank for your hospitality during the February Meeting and Show. I was the support driver for the Tasmanian chapter. You should be proud of your Club Rooms and attitude towards guests. Hope to re-visit one day. Cheers mates.

G'day Mates,
Firstly, I wish to congratulate the designer of this website and also the "very apt and moving" definition of what a veteran is. I was a Navy Stoker ( Engineering branch ) too young to join the Army but not too young to join the Navy. I joined "Pussers" at 15.5 years of age and after graduating from rookies, was drafted to HMAS DERWENT DE49 ( River Class Destroyer Escort ) as an ordinary seaman ( EB). On the 9th April 1971 I turned 18 and later that year, as a member of her "ship's company" was "closed up" in the boiler room, when she acted as escort destroyer for HMAS SYDNEY into and out of Vung Tau, South Vietnam.

I know little about the club but what I do see and hear, is very impressive. I also admire the club's ethos and hope to be joining the VVMC in the not too distant future. I may not be an Army veteran but am a Navy veteran "none the less", a different coloured uniform but still a uniform.

Keep up the great charitable work as I'm sure it is very much appreciated, particularly by the children at the RCH. "Good stuff"
